Here’s a question I get a lot from couples (and a great question it is!) : What do we do about photos if it rains on our wedding day? Here’s a question I don’t get asked a lot : What do we do if there is not a cloud in the sky, but the wind feels like something straight out of Twister meets The Wizard of Oz? Can you take pictures indoors that will still feel romantic and dreamy?
The answer to both of these questions is the same : ABSOLUTELY. I’m always up for braving the weather conditions if my couple is, but sometimes it’s just not practical. But, give me just a little bit of window light and we can create something pretty and romantic without you two getting soaked or blown away by hurricane level winds. 😉
All that to say… Courtney and John had a beautiful, if gusty, wedding at Palmetto Church of God in Florence, SC! I loved their elegant neutral palette, Courtney’s romantic gown, and their historic reception venue, the Waters Building in downtown Florence. One of my favorite details of theirs was their polaroid guestbook, which was such a fun touch!
Congratulations, Courtney and John! Thank you for allowing me to capture your beautiful day, and best wishes for a wonderful life together!
Our initial plan was to do the first look outside, but the church’s lobby proved to be a perfect spot too – especially when Courtney had the idea to let John’s first peek of her be through a mirror!
