I love all of my couples, but there is something extra special about getting to capture the wedding of someone you have known for, well, pretty much forever. Caroline and I are both Mitchell Road and Eastside alumni, and we even ran cross country and track together in high school (if you’re wondering who’s faster… it’s her, by a lot.) So, when she messaged me last year about her engagement to James and the possibility of photographing her wedding, I was both thrilled and really curious to meet this guy who could keep up with such a bubbly, energetic and bright spirit like Caroline! After meeting James at their engagement session, though, there was absolutely no doubt in my mind that he was a perfect match for Caroline. These two are a power couple, y’all!
Caroline and James had a wedding that perfectly reflected their energetic personalities and celebrated their roots. A few of my favorite details include their bright and fun pink and gold color palette; Caroline’s gorgeous gown; and the perfect party favors – Moon Pies from Chattanooga for James and chipwhiches from right here in Greenville for Caroline. (Side note, if you live here and have never had a chipwhich from The Chocolate Shoppe, drop what you’re doing and go get one right now. They are mindblowing.) From saying their vows at Mitchell Road to dancing the night away at the Huguenot Loft, these two definitely kicked off their marriage with a bang!
Caroline and James – thank you so much for inviting me and Ryan to be a part of your day! It was absolutely beautiful and I wish you two a wonderful life together!
I can’t recommend these vendors that I worked alongside highly enough!
