A great thing about being a photographer at my age (you know, the general age that my peers are getting married) is that a lot of my clients become friends… and a lot of my friends become clients. But, it’s a little extra special when I get to shoot a wedding for someone I’ve known for a long time. In Rachel’s case, that long time is over half of our lives! We were best friends in elementary school and have had the blessing of being able to keep in touch all the way into our adult lives, so of course I was thrilled for her when she met Alex, and even more thrilled to have the privilege of photographing their wedding! I would have loved the day no matter what, but on top of working with close friends, it was a seriously beautiful wedding! I loved the rich color palette (perfect for a late fall wedding) and the relaxed vibe of the day. The icing on the cake had to be the literally perfect light that peeked through the trees during our portrait time with the newlyweds – I couldn’t have dialed it in any better. <3
Rachel and Alex – I am SO happy for you two! Thank you again for allowing me to capture your day and I wish you all the blessings in your new life together.
And thanks to Victoria who tagged in to assist me and Ryan with this wedding! (You’re the best!) Some of her shots appear below.
