Brad and Audrey have an unlikely wedding story, but fate certainly meant for them to be together! Brad, a Clemson Tiger through and through, met University of South Carolina girl Audrey while visiting Columbia – she was waitressing, and Brad left her a ‘calling card’ which he had designed himself. Fortunately, Audrey took him up on his offer and the rest was history.
Just about every couple has a vision of a wedding that is equal parts elegant and fun, and Brad and Audrey ab.so.lutely nailed that combo! The couple tied the knot at Grace Church in downtown Greenville, and concluded with a wonderfully energetic ballroom reception at Greenville’s historic Poinsett Club. The couple wove their southern heritage into the wedding decor with motifs of polka dots, pearls and feathers. Feathers in particular hold a special meaning for Audrey; not only do they represent the couple’s love of fly fishing, but they also symbolize fate’s role in bringing them together. In the bride’s words:
“Feathers are special to me because there was a time I wondered whether I was meant to be with Brad, and I asked God to send me a sign if I was supposed to stay with him. I immediately found a blue feather – Brad had given me a similar one he found a few months earlier on a date. Of course, I carried it as my something blue on my wedding day.”
If THAT wasn’t clear enough, Audrey found yet ANOTHER feather on her wedding day just after we finished a few portraits and were heading back in to get ready for the ceremony. She tucked it into her bouquet in addition to the blue feather. When it comes to signs of divine providence, it doesn’t get much clearer than that!
