When a couple has a bouquet/boutonniere made from pages of Harry Potter, walks down the aisle to “Hedwig’s Theme”, and has centerpieces made of vintage books, you know that is a couple after my own heart!! Shanon and Tally are two bookworms who couldn’t be more perfect for each other. This sweet couple tied the knot on our last truly chilly day in February at the lovely River Road and Jasmine House in Columbia, SC. This was my first time shooting at this venue, but I really hope it isn’t my last! It’s a beautiful and charming garden venue with so much natural beauty, you really need very little decor to have a stunning day. Plus, it’s gorgeously green and lush even in the dead of winter. Shanon & Tally’s details were so perfect and unique too – in addition to the book decor, I loved that Shanon’s bridesmaids carried lanterns instead of bouquets, and the favors – customized mugs – put an extra special touch on their hot chocolate bar. Even their exit was unique – guests held candles as they cheered the newlyweds on!
Shanon & Tally – thank you so much for choosing us to document your special day! Your wedding was beautiful and we wish you two all the best!
