On Friendship // Summer Portraits in a Field of Dandelions

I have been blessed with some of the best friends on the planet. Hands down. And for that, I am truly thankful.

My friends have been there for me through hard times, and they’re here for me now in one of the most exciting times of my life. Not only are they kind, caring, and fun to be with: my friends are all GORGEOUS, both inside and out. (Sorry – major cheesey-ness there, but I mean it one hundred percent.)

One of the best things about this summer is that I’m in an in-between place: I’ve graduated from college, and I’m getting married in a month (woah!) And, most of my friends from college, high-school, and some from even longer ago are in the same place. We’re all in transition, but most of us have some idea of where we’re going. And although our paths are diverging, we aren’t growing apart; we’re staying connected.

It has been SO COOL to catch up with my friends and hear their plans for the next few years, and beyond. We’re all headed in different directions, but we’re united in our drive to find what we want our lives to look like, and to make it happen. And that’s exciting.

So, many thanks are in order to my model and friend, Hana, for helping me make these pictures happen. Hana – I loved catching up with you, and I had so much fun creating these images with you!

This shoot took place at my parents' house in Greenville! I had to beg my dad not to mow the field so I could take advantage of the gorgeous wild daisies and dandelions. He doesn't quite have the same artistic vision. :)
