Katie and Eric’s love for each other and excitement to be married were so apparent, from their first look through the whole rest of the day. I’ve never seen a couple so happy and giddy throughout their portrait session, and I loved it! That energy carried through the whole rest of the day; one guest on the dance floor remarked to me, “We could have had this wedding in a parking lot — as long as there was a great dance party, these two would have been happy!” Perhaps a bit of an exaggeration, but Katie and Eric’s wedding was definitely a contender for dance floor of the year! Everyone was having a great time, and some photobooth-style props passed around made for a lot of goofy fun and great candids. The Gassaway Mansion provided a beautiful backdrop for the reception – I’m a little obsessed with the beautiful lace draped over the canopy of the tent and the farmhouse table dinner settings.
Katie and Eric – thank you so much for choosing me as your wedding photographer! Your day was beautiful, and I wish you a marriage as filled with love and joy as your wedding was.
Thank you to my ever-excellent second shooter, Ginia Worrell! Some of her photos appear below.
