Wow. 2014 was an insane year.
I had the privilege of documenting 20 lovely couples making promises to each other, starting a new chapter of their lives together, and celebrating with the people they love most.
2014 took me on adventures from Durham to Charleston to Greenwood to Atlanta, and I discovered some beautiful treasures around my hometown of Greenville as well.
I grew a TON as a photographer, and I got to create some art with some very beautiful people.
More than that, I got to hear personal stories, witness intimate and emotional moments, and make new friends. I have been blown away by the hospitality of many of my wedding couples who have gone the extra mile to make me feel welcome on their wedding day. I always go into a wedding day expecting to fill the role of a vendor, but more often than not my clients are kind enough to treat me like more than just their photographer – more like a guest or a friend. I never expect that, but I do always appreciate it. It’s truly a privilege to be welcomed into one of the most important days of someone’s life, and I consider every moment I get to document as a gift.
So thank you, clients, friends, family, assistants, and everyone else who made this year possible. I can’t wait to do it all again next year… only even better!
It was incredibly hard narrowing it down, and I’m sure I’ve missed some, but here are a few of my favorite moments and my favorite frames from this year.
